BOAT BEGANDUANG

Boat beganduang is one of the cultural activities in kuantan mudik, Kec.Kuantan Singingi. This regular beganduang boat activity funded at the time of idul fitri  every year. This is due to the village merantau home village so that the event will be more lively and crowded.

Boat beganduang it tells the story of a young man in one village which means want to marry a girl with two boats that are consolidated into one. So at the time of this visit, a young man that comes with carrying member which consists of niniak  mamak youth. Visit the book meant to introduce to niniak mamak or uncle and his young men shall be inviolable girl from one of his youth.

Residence of the girl that will be visited is in the ordinary ward or the neighboring village. This visit was carried out at midnight to dawn on the night before the feast. At the time of the visit will be served food by landlord, after eating a meal and convey the intention of the visit next member  will be home to the village using a boat that has been set up. Furthermore if the youth to be married then people will deride village. so it is not be considered lightly and when youths who intend to get married cause  must think of everything good and ripe.

These activities still remain to be implemented and the culture in the depths of lubuk jambi. Kec.kuantan mudik, kab.Kuantan Singingi .County particularly in Riau Province. It became a favorite of the festival society bottom jambi as idul fitri.
